Flight Simulators
Virtual Reality and FAA approved simulators
As founder and CEO of the TouchTrainer, Eric Paton is an advocate of flight simulators for both ab-initio and advanced flight training. Eric Aero has virtual reality (VR) simulators for the beginner Private Pilot, and an Advanced Aviation Training Device (AATD) FAA-approved simulator for instrument training. We use artificially intelligent software from Take Flight Academy for virtual instruction, scoring and data analytics. For instrument training, we use Pilot Edge for a LIVE air traffic control network.
FTS TouchTrainer for IFR training
Rate: $65/hr
The TouchTrainer is an FAA-approved simulator that can be used to substitute half of the 40 hours of instrument time required for the IFR certificate. This will have a significant cost and time saving as compared to conducting all your training in the actual aircraft. As the original designer and manufacturer of this device, I can provide the most effective training.
As agreed in the Letter of Authorization (LOA) with the FAA, this device is certified as an Advanced Aviation Training Device (AATD). It can be used to substitute for actual flight time to SAVE you money.
- Instrument rating: up to 20 hours. (50% savings!)
- Commercial Pilot Certificate: up to 50 hours
- Airline Transport Certificate: up to 25 hours
- Instrument experience (6 approaches and holds every 6 months)
- Instrument proficiency check (if you failed to meet Instrument experience.)
On the left side of this image, you will see our FAA-approved AATD TouchTrainer. On the right of this image, you will see our Virtual Reality (VR) simulator for ab initio training, such as landing practice, ground reference maneuvers, and stalls. Both simulators are excellent tools for emergency scenarios. The VR simulator rental rate is only $35/hr.
Study It. Sim It. Fly It.
Mustang Flying Club is a developer and partner to TakeFlight Interactive. This advanced software has combined the power of games, AI and data analytics, turning your simulator into a Virtual Flight Instructor. This enables pilots to master maneuvers, on their own, before stepping into the cockpit.
Mustang Flying Club has partnered with PilotEdge to offer live air traffic controllers 15 hours a day to engage your “flying brain” on our simulators. See other aircraft, and hear other pilots on the radio. Put on your headset, dial up ground, and call for taxi. Its that easy!
