My name is Eric Paton.   As founder and CEO of Fly This Sim LLC, I designed and manufactured the world’s first touchscreen FAA approved flight simulators.   Now, as a Certified Flight Instructor, I am using these training tools to provide the most effective and cost-conscious training on the market.   I’ve been teaching pilots to fly since 2008, and have accumulated over 2,000 flight hours, mostly in my Cirrus SR20.   As an engineering professor at prestigious California Polytechnic University San Luis Obispo, (Cal Poly) I have always utilized a structured teaching syllabus.  While this works well for a large classroom at a university,  flight training is personalized 1-on-1 instruction.  This allows me to tailor your flying lessons and my teaching style to you based on your background, temperament, and your unique ways of learning and absorbing material.   Finding the right flight instructor is extremely important.
